Senior Manager – Business Services Accountant
A Large and established accounting & advisory firm in the Riverina region is seeking an experienced Manager and above to work alongside its partner group on a growing, high-quality client base. This is not a typical compliance role – it's a genuine advisory position for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, commercial finance, and client leadership. Key Responsibilities
* Manage a diverse portfolio of business clients across accounting, tax and strategic advisory
* Lead virtual and interim CFO engagements – delivering forecasting, cash flow management, dashboards, and commercial insights to business owners and founders
* Oversee tax compliance, year‐end financials, and special purpose reporting for high‐value business and HNW clients
* Identify and drive system improvements, process efficiencies, and automation opportunities for clients
* Lead and develop a small team, coordinating delivery of consulting, M&A support, due diligence, and advisory engagements
* Support business development by strengthening existing relationships and identifying referral and growth opportunities
The ideal candidate
* CA or CPA qualified, with 8+ years of experience across public practice and/or commercial finance roles
* Proven track record in advisory and virtual CFO work – comfortable translating financial data into clear, commercial decisions
* Strong leadership presence – able to inspire a team while maintaining excellent client relationships at senior level
* Experience working with agriculture, manufacturing or complex family business groups is highly regarded
* Commercially curious and analytically driven – you read a P&L like a story and act on what you find
* Proactive, self‐directed, and comfortable managing multiple engagements in a fast‐paced environment
