Development Services uses the wide-ranging powers of the Economic Development Act 2012 to deliver housing, commercial and industrial development outcomes for Queensland. You will be part of a connected, accountable, impactful and nimble team that is working to enable transformative developments across the State with pace and scale. Development Services comprises a mix of planning, urban design, built form, engineering and commercial professionals responsible for the identification and implementation of the state’s PDAs and Accelerated Development Opportunity sites and precincts. Working closely with EDQ’s Housing Supply and Delivery team and industry, Development Services will enable new housing, commercial and mixed-use development across Queensland through planning, development approvals and a significant infrastructure funding program to ensure the right infrastructure is delivered in the right place, at the right time to accelerate the supply of development ready land. Working in a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery of engineering infrastructure investigations, planning, development assessment, development approval and compliance. As the Senior Engineer, you will: Provide specialist development engineering advice on moderate complexity planning and development proposals identifying the infrastructure requirements and providing infrastructure planning services to facilitate positive outcomes. Provide specialist development engineering advice in the management of moderately complex development applications and the delivery of infrastructure associated with development projects in accordance with statutory requirements. Proactively manage allocated projects or elements of projects. Prepare and present quality professional written information, interpretations, briefings, presentations and reports. Contribute to the design and implementation of communications and negotiation strategies to assist in stakeholder engagement processes. Implement business process improvements relevant to work practices and strive for continuous improvement in systems and processes. Support colleagues within own area of expertise to promote team knowledge. Foster collaboration with colleagues in multidisciplinary teams and communities of practice.
