The Opportunity

Are you looking for a purposeful and rewarding role with flexibility to work from home?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Nurse Triage team. At Amplar Health, we “make health personal” for our clients and employees, promoting a healthier work environment, challenging norms, and increasing flexibility while maintaining performance and satisfaction.

This role offers the chance to work from home, with flexible hours and rosters, and you can be based anywhere in Australia, including regional or rural areas.

As a Triage Nurse in our Virtual Services, you will assist people seeking clinical advice and support, providing health information or referrals as needed.

Training and start dates

We offer full-time paid 5-day virtual training (9:00 am to 5:00 pm AEST) with start dates on June 16, July 14, and August 11. You must be available to complete the full training to be considered.

Post-training, you'll receive ongoing support from senior clinicians.

Hours and FTE

We offer part-time (22.5 hrs) to full-time (37.5 hrs) fixed-term contracts until 30 June 2026, with potential extension.

Your roster will require:

* At least 70% after-hours work, considering 1500-0700 Monday to Friday, all day Saturday and Sunday, and public holidays.
* Fixed two-week rotation rosters.
* At least one weekend per fortnight.

Work from home requirements

* Full technology suite provided (computer and phone kit).
* Private home office space with a closable door.
* Role involves multitasking between listening, supporting callers, typing notes, and referring to clinical resources.
* Reliable internet with minimum 50 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload speeds is required.

About you

The ideal candidate has a passion for customer service, strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and an engaging phone manner. You should be self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working towards KPIs and targets.

Additional requirements include:

* At least three years of recent clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse Division 1, with current AHPRA registration and no notations.
* Experience in varied nursing roles involving public contact, such as A&E, Paediatric, Community Care, or Medical/Surgical.
* Confidence in delivering high-quality customer service in a call centre environment.
* Ability to work autonomously to resolve issues.
* Experience with computerised patient management systems.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong nursing assessment skills and autonomy.
* Availability to work weekends and nights.
* Comfort with virtual communication platforms.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development.
* Experience in a corporate environment preferred.
* Ability to communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
