Overview

WA Country Health Service - WACHS - Wheatbelt – York WA

Position: All Purpose Orderly (part time, casual/temporary, full time, contract, permanent).

York Health Service is looking for a reliable and motivated All Purpose Orderly to join our supportive team. In this hands-on role, you will assist with patient handling and transport to support the day to day running of the hospital. A full-time position is available; part-time/job-share and casual appointments may also be considered. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).

Responsibilities

This position performs the daily workschedules as designated by HSM and in accordance with Hospital policies and procedures, assists nursing and care staff with any patient care that requires orderly assistance, and provides transport service to community and residents as directed by Home Support Coordinator or HSM.

Qualifications / Essential Work Related Requirements

* Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and basic literacy skills
* An ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment
* Good organisational and time management skills
* Be physically able to carry out duties
* Current C or C-A class driver's licence

Area Profile

The Wheatbelt region spans 155,000 square kilometres, encompassing six Aboriginal lands and language groups. From Jurien Bay on the coast to Southern Cross in the East, Dalwallinu in the north, and Lake Grace in the south, the region offers extensive opportunities. Health services include emergency and inpatient care, outpatient medical, nursing, and allied health services, as well as cancer, renal, palliative, rehabilitation, aged care, mental health, public health, health promotion, and child, school, and community health services. District hospitals in Narrogin, Northam, Merredin, and Moora, along with 35 smaller community hospitals and health centres, ensure comprehensive care across the region.
