About the role
Mainstream Industries Pty Ltd is seeking a talented and experienced Scheduler/Roster for a contract position based in Singleton, NSW. As a Scheduler/Roster, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective operations of our mining production processes. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in scheduling, roster management, and logistics within the mining and resources sector.
What you'll be doing
1. Developing and managing production schedules to optimise equipment utilisation and labour productivity
2. Creating and maintaining employee rosters to ensure adequate staffing levels and compliance with regulations
3. Collaborating with production managers, operators, and maintenance teams to coordinate activities and mitigate potential issues
4. Monitoring and adjusting schedules and rosters in response to changes in production requirements, equipment availability, and employee availability
5. Providing regular reports and analysis on production schedules, employee utilisation, and other key performance metrics
6. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity
What we're looking for
1. Minimum 5 years of experience in a scheduling or roster management role, preferably within the mining, resources, or a similar heavy industry
2. Strong understanding of mining operations, production processes, and equipment utilisation
3. Proficiency in using scheduling and roster management software tools - proficiency with spreadsheets, data entry, reading Gant charts
4. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional team
