Customer Support Specialist
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Customer Support Specialist. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a customer-facing position, utilizing your technical skills and excellent communication abilities to deliver top-notch support.
About the Role
This position involves working with customers across Australia, providing assistance with installations, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of complex scientific and analytical instrumentation. You will be part of a team of 17 engineers, serving customers across the country and contributing to the delivery of exceptional customer care.
Responsibilities
* Repair and maintenance of complex scientific and analytical instrumentation
* Perform installation of equipment from delivery to sign-off
* Perform diagnoses and supports remotely
* Keep customers well informed and appropriate personnel on any open issues
Requirements
* Educated in a relevant subject such as Electronic/Electrical Engineering or a related field
* At least 2 years of experience in customer support or technical support
* Experience in precision mechanics
* Excellent customer-relationship skills
* Good technical hands-on skills and abilities to work with tools
* Able and willing to travel, 50% - 60% of your time, across Australasia
* Ability to solve problems
* Ability to make sound decisions under stressful conditions
* Politeness and diplomacy
* Good organizational and planning skills
* Great sense of initiative and ability to work with people at different hierarchical levels
* Be able to work independently in the field and as part of a team
