Advocate for Elderly and Disabled Individuals
At our organization, we are seeking a dedicated Advocate to provide support services to elderly and disabled individuals.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have experience working with vulnerable populations. They will be responsible for delivering community education materials, identifying systemic issues, and contributing to reform and policy development.
* Deliver high-quality advocacy support to people living in or eligible to live in aged care homes, people who receive Commonwealth-funded aged care community packages, and their representatives.
* Identify community education and training needs, and develop resources and information to increase community awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing outreach services in a community-based environment
* Developing and delivering community education materials
* Collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals
Requirements:
* High standard of written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Experience using Microsoft Office, Outlook, and database systems
Preferred Qualifications:
* Current NT Driver's License and willingness to travel for short periods
