Our client is a national specialised courier delivery company in need of a permanent, full-time person to oversee the performance and retention of a busy team of Delivery Professionals working in the Kemp's Creek area of Sydney and based in the warehouse of one of Australia's largest retailers.
Based in Kemp's Creek, you will be part of a busy and dynamic team, working a 5-day-per-week shift from Sun - Thurs from 6 AM – 2 PM. You must be available on the weekend. A generous salary of about $80 – 85,000 plus super is on offer plus a $15,000 car allowance. (a package of about $100K + super)
FURTHER DETAILS OF THE ROLE
* You will be overseeing the onboarding, retention and performance of a team of Delivery Professionals while building strong relationships within that team
* You will lead performance reviews while identifying areas for improvement and putting strategies in place to drive outstanding performance
* You will oversee the safety and compliance requirements of the team
* You will identify any inefficiencies in processes and operations and contribute to continuous improvement of the fleet
* Full training in processes and a comprehensive handover will be provided
* You will need a reliable vehicle and Licence plus a Police Clearance for this role

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE
* Relevant experience in a similar operational role in the transport or delivery sector
* The ability to successfully lead a team while building strong relationships
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Flexibility with regular shift hours including 1 day each weekend
* Previous experience with performance management, budget tracking and process improvements
* Knowledge of safety and compliance requirements in the transport or delivery sectors
* Sound IT skills with MS Office and FMS software
* The ability to solve problems, meet deadlines and be proactive
* A comprehensive knowledge of Sydney suburbs
