Remuneration: $35.77 - $65.21 + Super
About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Female counsellor to join our team as an Afterhours Violence Abuse and Neglect Counsellor.
About the Position
This is a casual position working 24 hours, providing integrated trauma informed psychosocial response to recent incidents and disclosures of violence abuse and neglect within an integrated approach with medical and forensic partners.
The ideal candidate will have relevant degree in the respective field of Social Science, Counselling, or Social Work, Membership (or demonstrated eligibility) of a recognised professional association and meeting the criteria for a Level 1/2 within the Allied Health Professional. Relevant degree in Psychology with full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Relevant degree in Nursing. Current authority to practice unrestricted as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Demonstrated experience in assessing risk and safety planning when responding to crisis trauma presentations for adults, children and young people.
* Able to respond to call out on a 24-hour roster, within the timeframes as per the NSW Standard and Guidelines for NSW Health Sexual Assault Services, NSW Domestic Family Violence Standards and Guidelines and the Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect (SCAN) Medical Protocol.
* Demonstrated advanced level of communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and negotiation skills with a variety of clients, groups, staff and agencies.
* Complete Far West Local Health District's Service Violence Abuse and Neglect On Call Training and Mandatory Child Protection Training.
* Current NSW Drivers Licence.
