Are you a driven Mechanical or Process Engineer looking to accelerate your career into project management? Our respected Brisbane-based oil & gas consultancy is expanding and seeking a talented Project Engineer to join our high-performing team.
About the Role
You will support and deliver a range of brownfield and greenfield engineering projects across the gas sector, including gas processing facilities, compression, and pipeline systems. This role offers hands-on project exposure, direct client interaction, and a clear development pathway into project management.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing multidisciplinary engineering projects
* Contribute to design, technical reviews, and engineering deliverables for gas processing and pipeline systems
* Support project managers with budgets, schedules, procurement, and contractor engagement
* Liaise with clients, vendors, and internal engineering teams
* Ensure work meets safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
About You
* Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical/Process Engineering
* Minimum 5 years' experience in the oil & gas sector
* Strong technical understanding of gas processing, gas compression, and/or pipeline systems
* Excellent communication and coordination skills
* A proactive mindset with a genuine desire to develop into a Project Manager
* Ability to work collaboratively within a consultancy environment
