The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Team Leader for Wyndham Operations to join our Operations Team in Wyndham.
This is a key role in the Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley's Operations Team, responsible for coordinating and completing Wyndham works programs.
The role requires working collaboratively with other Shire teams and representing the Shire professionally at all times.
Your responsibilities will include:
Meeting work targets set by the organization and reporting to Supervisor Operations with updates for planning and scheduling.Supervising staff and contractors on-site.Assisting team members in maintaining and constructing projects that improve council's roads, drainage, traffic infrastructure, parks, sporting facilities, public open spaces, reserves, streets, and council facilities.Adhering to Council policies, procedures, processes, and specifications.Ensuring compliance with Work Health and Safety requirements, completing inductions, and undertaking necessary training.Developing a team environment to maintain productivity and efficiency.Essential qualifications include relevant Construction or Trade Certificates (minimum Certificate III) in Road Construction and Maintenance or Conservation and Land Management, a current Blue/White Construction Safety Card, an unrestricted WA Manual "HR" Class Driver's License, and a current First Aid qualification.
Skills and knowledge required include road reserve maintenance, construction, drainage, traffic control, public reserve maintenance, and proven ability to promote Occupational Safety and Health measures.
Previous supervisory experience is also necessary.
