Role Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Performance Analyst to join our Maritime delivery team based at Osborne Naval Shipyard, SA. Reporting to the Operations Performance Manager, this role is responsible for collating, reporting and analysing performance for a range of key operational metrics. The analyst will collaborate with stakeholders across multiple functional departments to investigate performance influences and provide detailed insights into areas of improvement, playing a pivotal role in driving performance enhancements throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Work collaboratively within a team environment while also having the ability to drive and set individual tasks.
* Provide monthly and weekly internal reports in line with the performance management framework, and prepare ad‐hoc charts and reports as required by the Operations & Production management teams.
* Use stakeholder engagement, problem‐solving and project management skills to identify and drive performance improvements within the business.
* Conduct project and business‐specific impact and return‐on‐investment assessments for identified performance opportunities.
* Present potential risks and opportunities to the Operations Leadership teams, providing mitigation strategies resulting from analysis and interrogation of data.
* Analyse the lead indicators for the Operations Quarterly Look Ahead (QLA) process.
* Provide the Operations Performance team with governance and standard documents and processes to follow.
* Use project management methodologies to manage tasks and projects specific to the role.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in analytics, engineering, IT, business, project management or a related discipline; or demonstrated relevant industry experience.
* Previous experience in a similar project/performance coordination or support role.
* Certifications in one or more technical applications (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Tableau) is desirable.
* Previous experience in the manufacturing and heavy steel industry is desirable.
* Experience with the creation of data visualisation and data gathering techniques.
* Highly autonomous and self‐motivated, demonstrating sound judgment, initiative and an ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.
* Baseline Defence Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain.
