Job Description
The RTO Manager plays a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining the Registered Training Organisation, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. This involves leading the full setup and registration process, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and overseeing data management systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the registration process of the RTO, including application development, documentation, systems, and quality assurance frameworks.
2. Develop and implement RTO policies, procedures, and compliance systems in alignment with all relevant standards.
3. Oversee the establishment of required data management systems and processes, ensuring compliance with reporting and funding body requirements.
4. Recruit, mentor, and develop a skilled Vocational RTO Team that adopts a student-centred approach to training and assessment.
5. Work collaboratively with Heads of Teaching and Learning, Heads of School and Campus, and VET Leads to ensure alignment of RTO activities with Y Schools curriculum and Pathways Blueprint.
6. Lead internal audit and review processes, preparing for external audits and regulatory reporting.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Demonstrated experience leading or managing a school-based RTO (institutional RTO experience considered).
* A deep understanding of the Standards for RTOs *****) and VET Quality Framework.
* Proven ability to lead compliance, audit, and registration processes.
* Strong project management and organisational skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a track record of stakeholder engagement.
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE***** or equivalent).
* Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and National Police Check.
* Experience in school-based VET program development.
* Knowledge of Queensland Department of Youth Justice, DESBT, ISQ, QCAA, NSSAB and other relevant governing bodies.
