About the team – Located in Gavirate, near Milan, the AIS European Training Centre aims to be a "home away from home" for Australian sports in Europe and a key factor in ensuring access to high performance training facilities while travelling. The AIS ETC staff is a small high performing team of passionate Australian and Italian members who take pride in supporting Australian sports every day and contributing to the success of their campaigns. 
About the role – As part of the AIS ETC team, you will work closely with the ETC Sports Manager to plan, prepare and deliver high performance sports camps for Australian and International elite athletes. You will be the key figure in handling the day-to-day logistic and support requests from the National Sporting Organisations. You will have the opportunity to go out on the field with the teams and support them during peak event such as the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games. 
About you – We are looking for someone a proactive, can-do mindset is essential, along with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments. Flexibility, curiosity, and a willingness to learn are highly valued, contributing to a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture. 
The successful candidate will have
- Australian citizenship
- Tertiary Qualification in business administration, sports-related field or event coordination;
- Advanced knowledge of Italian language;
- Demonstrated experience in high-performance sport and in event coordination;
- Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving approach;
- Strong planning and organisational skills;
- Proven ability to live and work overseas and in a small team environment.
This position is offered as a fixed-term position until June 2026, with the possibility of being extended or made ongoing.
