About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Media Officer to join a high-performing communications team for NSW Government Client. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful initiatives that directly shape public engagement and organisational reputation. You’ll play a pivotal role in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating communication strategies that build trust and create a favourable view of the organisation, its services, and its role within the community. What you’ll be doing Manage and deliver media and communications strategies in a fast-paced environment. Work closely with your manager and internal/external stakeholders to ensure clear, timely and engaging communications. Provide proactive and reactive media support, including press materials, responses, and campaigns. Contribute to emergency management and operational communication when required. Evaluate outcomes and recommend continuous improvements in media and communications. What we’re looking for Degree in Media, Communications, Public Relations, or related field (mandatory). Demonstrated experience in media and communications within a fast-paced environment. Strong writing and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build trust. Experience in emergency or operational media management will be highly regarded. Collaborative, team-focused, and culturally aligned. What’s on offer Daily rate: $600–$750 super.
