Our client is one of the largest family farming groups in South Australia and New South Wales. They are currently on the lookout for multiple experienced senior Light Vehicle Motor Mechanics to join their successful team in South Australia. This senior role will include taking leadership role within workshop for mechanical repairs on all brands of vehicles and machinery.
This senior position requires the highly skilled person to be involved with servicing, diagnosis, maintenance and complex repair of light vehicles.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Ensure reactive and preventative maintenance, servicing and repair requirements are met in accordance with maintenance schedules (including oil changes, transmission fluids, air filters, tyre changes etc.)
• Identify, test and repair different types of mechanical and electrical failures on vehicle engines, and machinery.
• Fault diagnostics and testing parts
• Performing repairs and replacing defective worn or parts
• Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
• Reassembling engines and parts after repair
Qualifications required:
• Experience within a similar role including demonstrating management and leadership skills
• Qualified mechanic (AQF certificate Ill or equivalent)
• At least 3 years of fulltime experience
• Have a good eye for detail
• Must have intermediate or above computer skills
• Demonstrated ability to work cohesively as part of a team
• Well developed communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to comply with all OHS policies and procedures.
• Be motivated and able to achieve targets
