About The Role
* A carpenter undertaking this role will have completed a carpentry trade and possess a craftsman’s certificate of proficiency.
* The successful candidate will work in installation and maintenance tasks generated via the computerised maintenance management system or as requested by management across campus buildings.
* You will collaborate with other trades and will be supported by Calvary Mater Engineering management. Opportunities for internal training and post-trade studies are available.
* An eligibility list will be created for future vacancies, both permanent and temporary, full or part-time.
Where You'll Be Working
* Calvary Mater Newcastle Engineering supports hospital infrastructure and facilities, handling reactive and preventative maintenance across the campus.
* Calvary Mater Newcastle is a major public hospital in Waratah, providing cancer care, oncology, haematology, palliative care, and other medical services, affiliated with the University of Newcastle.
About You
* You will have completed a carpentry trade and possess a craftsman’s certificate of proficiency.
* You have experience in maintenance within large buildings, can follow directions, work well with management, and are comfortable working independently or with other trades.
