Responsibilities

Customer Service

- Identify client needs, ensure they are met and manage after sales service
- Proactively develop effective multi-level and multi-activity relationships with key customers across the business
- Develop and implement an appropriate business plan for assigned customers to retain and / or grow revenue, profitability and CPI and build and maintain customer satisfaction
- Ensure the nature and character of each customer is captured systematically in customer databases:
- To provide the customer with seamless service continuity in the event of a change in or loss of the S/AM
- To ensure information re customer interactions is captured within the companies systems and actioned
- To ensure customer plans are up to date, including, benchmarks, targets, call plans, CVI, etc
- Expand the number of products and services bought by each customer (CPI) by proactively generating leads in other activities and assisting other S/AMs and Sales staff to cross sell their products and services
- Provide a professional service to all clients, suppliers and the business

Business Growth

- Promote and develop business growth and the company profile by proactively identifying opportunities,
- canvassing customers, promoting company services, products and initiatives across all activities
- Maintain effective relationships with other team members through ongoing communication of knowledge and information to pre-empt demand for products and sales opportunities
- Promote and represent Nutrien Ag Solutions at relevant industry meetings, conferences and seminars, in-store days, etc.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key suppliers and key regional industry personnel
- Provide market intelligence on industry trends, marketing trends, competitor activities and strategies

Branch Planning & Budgeting

- Assist in the planning and budgeting processes as required

Professional Development

- Achieve and maintain a proficient level of knowledge and skills of the wider range of company products and services
- Achieve and maintain a superior level of technical and professional skills and knowledge and keep up with current developments and trends in area of expertise
- Develop staff knowledge regarding the activity products and services
- Monitor on-going industry trends, marketing trends, competitor strategies, technical developments, etc.
- Provide mentoring to assigned Graduates and Trainees

Staff Performance Management - Supervisory roles only

- Manage the performance of supervised employees to ensure they meet their performance objectives
- Facilitate and prescribe activity employee development opportunities to enhance their capabilities
- Assist in the development of succession and career plans

Activity Specialisation

- Facilitate lead generation through branches utilising insurance partners in the sales fulfilment process
- Manage and directly sell to higher value clients in conjunction with supplier partners
- Manage supplier partners to ensure that service levels are being met, all leads followed up and business
- process times acceptable
- Ensure suppliers attend to customer and branch queries promptly and professionally

EH&S; and Compliance

- Abide by EH&S; policies and procedures
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Company policies and relevant legislation to ensure compliance to limit liability
- Comply with manufacturer and company requirements with hazardous substances
