A well‑established contractor specialising in plumbing, hydraulic, and civil infrastructure works is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex commercial and government projects across the ACT. With a strong pipeline of work and partnerships with leading Tier‑2 builders, this role offers long‑term stability and the opportunity to manage technically challenging projects from start to finish.
Your new role
You'll take ownership of multiple projects, overseeing planning, procurement, delivery, and client management. This role suits someone with a strong technical background in plumbing, hydraulics, or civil construction, who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is confident managing high‑value, multi‑stakeholder projects. Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
* Manage end‑to‑end delivery of plumbing and civil infrastructure packages
* Oversee project planning, scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor coordination
* Ensure compliance with design, specifications, and industry standards
* Monitor budgets, cost control, forecasting, and commercial performance
* Build strong relationships with Tier‑2 builders, consultants, and clients
* Lead site teams to ensure safety, quality, and program outcomes
* Resolve technical issues and support design coordination where required
What you'll need to succeed
* Background in plumbing, hydraulics, or civil construction-trade or degree qualified
* Proven experience delivering complex commercial or government projects
* Ideally, experience working with Tier‑2 commercial contractors
* Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, civil works, and services coordination
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain strong commercial oversight
