Elite Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead the QC team within a proudly Australian-owned manufacturer of high-quality veterinary pharmaceuticals. This is a pivotal leadership position, ideal for someone passionate about building a culture of quality, ensuring GMP compliance, and driving excellence in sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Quality Control Laboratory
- Lead analytical method development, validation, and optimisation for sterile and non-sterile products
- Contribute to and oversee the product stability program
- Provide training, mentoring, and ongoing support to QC team members and the broader business
- Foster a strong safety-first culture across the team
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in QC processes
- Provide strong people leadership, team engagement, and cross-functional collaboration
About You
- Degree-qualified in pharmaceuticals, chemistry, microbiology, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical quality experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Solid expertise in HPLC & UPLC
- Proven track record in analytical method development and validation in a pharmaceutical setting
- Experience managing small teams with a hands-on leadership style
- Deep knowledge of GMP, APVMA requirements, and pharmaceutical quality standards
- Background in veterinary pharmaceuticals and APVMA registration processes (highly regarded)
- Demonstrated understanding of sterile manufacturing, cleanroom operations, and aseptic validation
- Experienced in leading audits and managing QMS platforms
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and people management skills
- Strong analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making and risk management capabilities
