Construction Manager – Northern VIC at Multicultural Consulting Services
We're seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee delivery across multiple civil and rail‑related work fronts in the Euroa and Benalla region of Northern Victoria. The ideal candidate thrives in fast‑moving site environments and enjoys coordinating diverse teams, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve safe, high‑quality results.
About The Role
You will manage end‑to‑end construction activities across several regional sites, ensuring works are planned, sequenced, and delivered in line with technical requirements, safety standards, and project objectives. Working closely with engineering, commercial, and delivery teams, you'll provide leadership across subcontractor engagement, program management, reporting, and day‑to‑day site operations. This is a site‑based, full‑time role with presence required across Euroa and Benalla.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead daily construction operations across multiple sites, ensuring alignment with schedules, cost targets, and safety processes
* Oversee resource planning, procurement needs, subcontractor engagement, and variation management
* Review construction methodologies, staging plans, and technical documents
* Monitor performance, quality, and compliance, escalating risks and implementing corrective actions
* Maintain strong working relationships with clients, councils, landowners, and community stakeholders
* Build and guide a high‑performing site team, fostering a supportive and accountable environment
* Ensure all HSE requirements are embedded throughout planning and execution
* Drive accurate cost forecasting, commercial risk management, and project reporting
Requirements
* 15+ years' experience delivering civil, rail, or large‑scale infrastructure projects
* Strong understanding of contemporary construction methodologies and site execution
* Proven leadership capability managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors
* Solid commercial, contractual, and financial management capability
* Strong communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to work full‑time on regional sites and travel across project locations
* Commitment to safety, quality, and project excellence
