Strategic HR Role

We are seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Human Resources Manager to lead our HR function, drive compliance, and enhance employee engagement.

This pivotal role will align HR strategies with our business objectives, ensuring seamless integration of people management practices across the organization.

* Collaborate with line management groups to design and implement human resources solutions tailored to meet business needs.
* Provide expert recommendations and solutions covering a range of human resources areas, including employment training, employee development, communications, compensation, benefits, record administration, employee or labor relations, organizational planning, change management, and other services.
* Offer interpretation and counsel to line management regarding policies, programs, and practices.
* Conduct research and develop innovative solutions to resolve complex business issues.
* Develop and implement new policies, practices, and programs to meet organizational and line management needs.


Talent Management:

* Oversee talent acquisition practices.
* Partner with hiring managers to provide guidance on recruitment and selection strategies and processes.
* Build awareness of equal employment opportunity and legislation, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
* Collaborate with hiring managers in facilitating effective recruitment and selection processes.
* Support managers through the staff exit process.
* Conduct exit interviews and report data confidentially for improvement purposes.


Employee Relations:

* Assist business leaders in applying ethical decision-making to achieve organizational goals.
* Provide technical guidance and resolve misconduct and grievance-related matters in accordance with policies, procedures, industrial instruments, legislation, and best practice.
* Support the development of policies, procedures, and supporting documents.
* Advocate procedures and build awareness of HR governance practices.
* Meet regularly with staff and provide general support in all employee relations matters.


Performance Management:

* Lead the monitoring and reporting of KPI setting and professional development plans.
* Support managers with completing performance plans and identifying development needs.
* Promote an environment that supports organizational culture and values, continual improvement.


Learning and Development:

* Mentor members of the wider HR team.
* Promote a learning culture.
* Develop and conduct training programs.


Workforce Data Management and Analytics:

* Support the collection of accurate workforce data to inform HR strategy development.
* Partner with managers to build understanding and awareness of workforce trends and identify workforce initiatives that improve workforce engagement and productivity.


Culture Management:

* Champion and promote organizational values.
* Ensure staff alignment with values, core purpose, and desired behaviors.


General Advisory Services:

* Consult and provide stakeholders with timely and accurate advice and support on key matters.
* Guide and advise client groups on full HR procedure and guideline suites.
* Partner with clients to resolve HR and workforce issues, providing consistent and streamlined advice when coaching, supporting, and providing solutions to business leaders.


Staff Relationships:

* Build strong relationships with staff across the organization and actively contribute to cross-departmental engagement.


Requirements:

* Significant 5+ years of experience in a similar role as in-house HR Manager within a financial service industry.
* Tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management, Business Management, or a related discipline.
* In-depth knowledge of human resource organizational policies and practices. Demonstrated experience in developing human resources policies and procedures.
* Strong knowledge of generalist human resources best practice.
* Excellent communication skills and highly service-oriented.
* Knowledge of current employment legislation and practices.
* A high degree of flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to learn and grow.
* Human resources experience in a true generalist capacity; including significant exposure to performance management, recruitment, employee relations, and workforce planning.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills; including confidence interacting with senior business leaders, stakeholder management, and flair for engaging people and developing relationships.
* Demonstrated capacity in managing difficult situations with tact, confidence, and confidentiality.
* Outstanding organizational skills; including ability to work accurately, with a high attention to detail.
* Diplomatic and professional dedication; capacity to operate with honesty and integrity.
* Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
