Karminda Pty Ltd Trading As GRAZING PINES - RURAL CONTRACTING is a family-owned business, based on the Fraser Coast, predominately working in the railway, local government and forestry industries. Our business offers a wide range of vegetation management services, including slashing, herbicide spraying and fertilizing to both private land holders in the local area and government organisations. We also carry out regular fencing projects, which includes rural stock fences & chainwire security fences, as well as a small amount of excavations & earth works.

The area our business services is mainly from Gympie to Gladstone, and west to Gayndah. On occasions we do operate further a-field. Due to our large service area, this position will require the successful applicant to live away from home at times - approx 60 nights per year with entitlements paid.
There is a great variety in this role for the successful applicant, they will be required to assist in carrying out all of the diverse range of services our business offers. The position is labour intensive at times so requires an individual who is physically fit and enjoys working outdoors. Position also includes the operation of tractors, trucks, excavator and posi-track as well as maintenance of fleet machinery and vehicles.
Pay rate is dependent on experience, competency and tickets/licences held by successful applicant. Experience in rural activities preferred, eg. mechanical experience, chainsaw, tractor, excavator, posi-track operations, weed identification, fencing etc

Due to our customer base largely being government agencies, our business has a ZERO tolerance to drugs and alcohol, to ensure compliance with our customers requirements. Our business and our customers carry out random drug and alcohol testing onsite at any given time.

The successful applicant will be placed on casual terms of employment for the first 3-months. Following this period the applicant may be offered full-time employment terms should they demonstrate their capabilities to an acceptable standard.

* Tractor & Posi track/skid steer Operations
* Civil Excavator Operations

* First Aid including CPR
* ACDC (or some modules beneficial)
* SARC & Fatigue Management
* Rail Industry Worker Card
