Lead Area Manager - Product Management and Solutions
The Business Banking team provides support to small to medium, enterprise customers and regional and agribusiness customers. The Everyday Business Banking (EBB) team is accountable for Deposit and Transaction Products, Portfolio Management, Commercial Cards, Payment Acceptance Solutions, Business Customer Onboarding, Customer Lifecycle Management, and Business Customer Propositions.
The Lead Area Manager will collaborate with EBB Domain Crews/COEs to define the Product Management capability roadmap, talent strategy, and people engagement plan. They will lead a high-performing team of 80+ Product Managers including ~15 direct reports.
The Lead Area Manager will:
* Partner with EBB Crews/COEs to determine the capability and skillset required to deliver on customer and strategic outcomes
* Focus on Product Management talent recruitment, talent mobility, succession planning, and career pathways
* Develop the Product Management Performance framework including talent calibration, remuneration standards, performance management, and KPI setting
* Enhance Chapter maturity by fostering a culture of sharing, learning, and problem-solving
* Implement consistent ways of working across the Chapter Area and Domain that align to industry standards
* Unlock people potential through strong people engagement, mentoring, and coaching
Requirements Include
* 10+ years of Product and People Leadership experience within Financial Services, preferably in Business Banking
* Strong commercial and technical experience across Product Management
* Excellent communication skills with experience in influencing and working across multiple LTs and Senior Leaders
* Experience in leading performance frameworks including talent management and remuneration benchmarking
* Ability to build deep connections across multiple stakeholders at all levels
* Appropriate university qualification; degree or masters
