The Opportunity
We are excited to offer an opportunity for an Undergraduate or Graduate Civil Engineer to join our team, starting in early 2026. Whether you're in your final year of a civil engineering degree or are a recent graduate, this role is a fantastic way to gain hands-on experience and consolidate university study.
In this role, you will work under the guidance of engineers and contribute to various civil engineering projects. You'll have the chance to apply what you've learned, take on more complex tasks, while receiving ongoing development and mentoring to grow your engineering career.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist senior engineers with design calculations and civil engineering analysis.
* Produce engineering sketches suitable for drafting and help coordinate information provided by the team.
* Ensure accuracy and compliance with engineering principles in all tasks.
* Prepare and review engineering drawings and models using design and CAD software.
* Perform site inspections when directed by the Job Manager and support technical inquiries.
* Participate in project coordination meetings and collaborate with internal teams and external clients/consultants.
* Relieve the Job Manager of administrative tasks and contribute to various aspects of project documentation.
* Ensure compliance with Quality System Procedures and assist in checking the work of other team members.
* Develop increasing professional judgment, tackling more complex tasks as experience grows.
About You
We're looking for individuals who are passionate about civil engineering and eager to learn, whether you're currently an undergraduate or a recent graduate. The ideal candidate will have:
* Currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering or a recent graduate with a degree in civil engineering.
* Registered as a Student or Graduate Member of Engineers Australia.
* A strong desire to apply engineering principles and techniques in real-world projects.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, error-free work.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
* A willingness to learn from senior engineers and take on increasing responsibilities over time.
