Overview
This is the sub-regional health service for the Bass Coast and South Gippsland Shires, with sites at Wonthaggi, Cowes, San Remo.
In order to support our rapidly growing population, we are expanding our services and facilities, including a new $115 million hospital expansion and renovated facilities to meet increasing health care needs in the region.
This position will be a factional/full-time salaried role with limited right to private practice.
It will involve the education and supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate trainees.
The Cardiologist will report to the Chief Medical Officer.
Responsibilities
Be part of the Senior Medical Team at BCH.
Provide inpatient care to medical patients within credentialed privileges granted.
Provide assessment services for patients attending the Emergency Department when required.
If employed in a salaried capacity, provide outpatient services to referred patients.
Provide consultative and medical management support to other specialists.
Provide supervision and training to medical students, interns, registrars and other junior medical and nursing staff.
Qualifications
MBBS or equivalent
Registered by the Medical Board of Australia and not have any imposed restrictions on their practice by AHPRA
FRACP (if applicable/required)
