Maternal Infant Health Service Job
Job Description:
As an Aboriginal Health Worker, you will provide holistic, culturally acceptable and accessible community maternity care to Aboriginal women and their families in partnership with the midwife. You will work collaboratively with local practitioners; hospital staff; child health nurses; and other services to ensure a comprehensive service delivery model.
You will partner with the midwife to ensure that the local AMIHS works with community development processes to contribute to removing barriers that prevent Aboriginal people from participating in issues affecting their lives, especially regarding maternity care and healthcare for themselves and their families.
This is a temporary part-time position of 40 weeks per year, working 6 hours per week.
