About the Role
As a Junior Production Estimator, you'll support the preparation of accurate and timely cost estimates for luxury custom residential builds. Working closely with senior estimators, design, and construction teams, you'll develop your technical capability while ensuring precision, cost awareness, and quality are upheld at every stage.
This role is ideal for someone with a carpentry background who understands how homes are built and is looking to transition off the tools into a long-term estimating career.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for custom residential projects
* Interpret plans and specifications to help produce comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
* Liaise with drafting, construction, and project coordination teams to align project deliverables
* Support the maintenance of supplier and subcontractor pricing for reliable forecasting and quoting
* Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating systems and processes
About You
* Carpentry background with practical residential construction experience
* Currently studying or recently completed a Cert IV in Building & Construction
* Strong attention to detail and genuine interest in costing and project planning
* Proficient with DataBuild or willing to learn estimating software
* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Motivated to build a long-term career with a respected high-end builder
