We have multiple roles across engineering within Electronics and Firmware Engineering supporting world‐class signal and power systems for various national and international military organisations. Roles: 1x Electronics Engineer, 1x Firmware Engineer. These roles also have the capability to be considered for 6‐month contracts.
Responsibilities (various for either role)
* Demonstrated expertise in embedded systems design, with a strong grasp of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) principles and familiarity with MIL‐STD‐461 standards.
* Proficiency in Altium Designer for PCB layout and schematic capture is essential to support efficient and compliant hardware development.
* Develop Systems Engineering documents.
* Design, simulate, prototype, test and document integrated electro‐mechanical systems as part of a multidisciplinary team to meet project objectives.
* Assist the Engineering Team in certification testing.
* Capture and document system and subsystem requirements.
* Design, develop and document embedded software/firmware using C/C++, be familiar with software documentation and unit tests.
* Design, develop, document software applications, making specific determinations about system performance.
* Interpret system requirements to develop customer use cases and ensure the code responds correctly and the designs are documented.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Communications, Embedded, Firmware, Mechatronics or similar.
* At least 2–5 years industry experience in electronics or firmware design.
* Experience working within a team environment and willingness to learn and be coach‐able.
* Software development experience with C, C++ or similar coding tools.
* MUST be an Australian Citizen and be eligible for a Defence security clearance. ITAR compliance also required.
