Our Business Banking team supports more than 10,000 clients across Australia, partnering with businesses with a debt threshold up to $100M, to help them grow with confidence. We manager diverse portfolios across both development and investment, combining deep sector expertise with strong credit capability and innovative solutions that deliver long‑term value.

Based in Sydney, this role leads a specialist team of Senior Associates, Analysts, and Account Managers within our Commercial Property segment.
This position goes beyond traditional team leadership. It blends people leadership with a strong commercial and sales focus, offering meaningful exposure to customers, decision‑makers, and strategic portfolio outcomes.
In this role, you will:
* Lead, coach, and empower your team to deliver timely, high‑quality credit outcomes while building capability in commercial property credit, policy, and risk.
* Contribute at leadership‑team level to portfolio strategy, pipeline planning, and commercial decision‑making.
* Support customer engagement by attending meetings to guide deal structuring, credit discussions, and relationship development.
* Oversee workflow across credit applications, reviews, and expired facilities, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and excellent customer experiences.
* Foster a strong risk culture, promoting a zero‑defect mindset and proactively identifying and mitigating emerging risks.
* Champion continuous improvement, demonstrating commercial acumen across people, processes, and portfolio performance.
What we're looking for
* Strong understanding of commercial property lending, credit assessment, and business banking products.
* Commercial acumen with confidence engaging customers and influencing decisions.
* Ability to build relationships, collaborate across teams, and engage diverse stakeholders.
* Experience in financial services, ideally with exposure to customer‑facing or sales environments.
* A solutions‑focused mindset, with curiosity and a drive for continuous improvement.
* A customer‑centric approach and passion for delivering exceptional service.
