Lismore Base Hospital is a regional referral Level 5 base hospital with state-of-the-art facilities including an operating theatre suite, ICU/CCU, imaging, Cardiac Cath Lab, and most major specialties and subspecialties. The Emergency Department is a comprehensive Level 5 facility and the designated Trauma Centre for Northern NSW, featuring an on-site rooftop helipad as part of our Retrieval Service.
The Specialist will provide clinical leadership, participate in quality improvement activities, and offer training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines to ensure quality education and safe clinical practice.
Supervision and training of Junior Medical Officers is required.
The role involves covering Monday to Friday and any rostered after-hours on-call requirements, which may include Saturday and Sunday. Scheduled clinics will also be part of the duties. Experience in Breast and Haematological malignancies is preferred.
