About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and efficient Production Manager to organize, direct, coordinate, and control all operational activities at our Oakeybranch. The Production Manager will play a pivotal role in collaborating with the team to achieve production targets while upholding strict quality control standards. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient and safe operation and maintenance of our operational equipment, facilitating the timely processing and delivery of our products, encompassing packing, store operations, and stock feed manufacturing.
Your key responsibilities:
* Uphold Riverina's policies and procedures, focusing on Health and Safety, Quality Assurance, and Food Safety Systems.
* Oversee daily operations of equipment and processes, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
* Lead and manage employee performance in collaboration with the Branch Manager.
* Conduct safety inspections, address non-compliance issues, and promote a safety-first culture.
* Manage the production schedule to align with order and delivery requirements.
* Oversee the transport delivery fleet and collaborate with purchasing and sales teams for effective planning.
* Schedule staff in accordance with operational needs and industrial standards.
* Ensure calibration and maintenance of technical equipment, and uphold quality control measures.
* Coordinate plant and equipment maintenance and repair.
* Report on product and process statistics to support decision-making.
Our Ideal candidate will possess:
* A minimum of 2years experience in a Production Manager role or similar position, preferably within the feed, agriculture, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
* Demonstrated ability to enhance operational efficiency and implement process improvements, HACCP, and/or FeedSafe knowledge (highly desirable).
* Experience as a forklift operator and possess a current forklift license (highly desirable).
* Proven leadership skills, with a focus on team motivation and development.
* Strong commitment to safety and fostering a safety-first culture.
* Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and multitasking ability.
* Comprehensive knowledge of quality standards and manufacturing principles.
* Exceptional communication skills.
