We represent a leading Australian corporate and commercial law firm, specialising in banking, corporate, real estate, and litigation.
Due to a steady line of work and growth within the firm, they are looking to add a **commercial litigation lawyer** to their busy Sydney office.
The team is led by two highly experienced partners. They both specialise in different areas such as mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate restructuring, banking, finance, property, development, and infrastructure matters.
In this role, you'll handle a diverse range of commercial litigation and insolvency cases, spanning various jurisdictions and dispute types. Tasks include managing shareholder disagreements, sale and purchase disputes, breach of contractual and fiduciary duties, as well as involvement in insolvency matters such as representing insolvency practitioners and advising creditors on corporate insolvency issues.
**Requirements**:
To be successful in this role you will need **2+ years post admission experience** working in demonstrated commercial litigation matters. In addition, you will need to be:
- Skilled in drafting legal documents, briefing Counsel, and attending hearings and conferences.
- Efficient at managing competing priorities
- Detail-oriented with strong communication and analytical skills
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively
- Dedicated to delivering excellent client service and mentoring junior staff.
