Overview
The Youth Enhanced Services (YES) program supports young people aged 12–25 experiencing severe and complex mental health challenges. Delivered through the CCQ Mental Health AOD Hubs, the program offers multidisciplinary care, therapeutic interventions, and community connection to help young people thrive.
Role: Senior Mental Health Clinician
Location: Based at Emerald, Bundaberg or Gladstone on the lands of the Gayiri, Taribelang Bunda, Bailai, Gurang, and Gooreng Gooreng Peoples. This is a 0.8 FTE ongoing position. Salary:
- $49.50–$52.55/hr (dependant on exp. and qual.) + 12% Super + Salary Packaging benefits of up to $18,550
The role is supported by flexible work arrangements including working from home, in the community, at a headspace office, or at the MMH office.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver specialist counselling using CBT, DBT, ACT and other modalities
- Support and mentor junior clinicians to maintain high service standards
- Collaborate with local stakeholders to ensure integrated care
- Document clinical work accurately and meet service targets
- Participate in supervision, team meetings, and referral pathway development
Qualifications & Experience
- Extensive experience in individual therapy with adolescents
- Strong understanding of trauma, youth mental health, and recovery principles
- Advanced skills in therapeutic approaches including CBT, DBT, ACT
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
- Current registration with a professional body
