Your responsibilities will include:

7. Provide advice and support in complex investigations including undertaking interviews and obtaining statements in relation to legislative non-compliance and/or fraud committed against the SIRA regulated schemes.
8. Collaborate extensively with the NSW Police Force, state and Commonwealth regulators, and other law enforcement agencies to share intelligence and coordinate enforcement actions.
9. Research, analyse, collate information and identify trends and policy issues from internal and external sources to provide recommendations regarding, legislative non-compliance and or fraud identification, investigation and evidentiary processes to inform decision making.
10. Prepare comprehensive briefs of evidence for criminal and civil proceedings, ensuring compliance with rules of evidence and procedural fairness.
11. Utilise advanced investigative tools and techniques, including forensic accounting software, intelligence mapping, and data analytics, to identify and deliver proactive compliance operations to detect and prevent emerging risks, employing intelligence-led risk-based regulatory strategies.
12. Keep up to date with the latest trends and issues on relevant legislation and industry practices to recommend improvements to service delivery.
13. Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring all investigative activities conform to legislative and policy requirements.

About you:

14. You must possess a Certificate IV in Government Investigations or a similar qualification.
15. A track record of successfully conducting investigations and inspections, gathering evidence, and preparing prosecution briefs.
16. Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and execute proactive compliance operations, including identifying risk areas, developing operational strategies, and implementing targeted activities to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
17. Possess a robust understanding of criminal law, rules of evidence, criminal procedure, and administrative law is required.
18. Have demonstrated ability to produce detailed, accurate reports and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, using well-honed written and verbal communication skills.
19. A collaborative team player, adept at initiating, building, and maintaining productive working relationships.
