Medical Director Following the retirement of our highly valued Medical Director, Sexual Health and Family Planning ACT (SHFPACT) is seeking an experienced sexual and reproductive health doctor to provide clinical leadership and effective clinical governance for the organisation. Based in Canberra, this is an opportunity to contribute to an inclusive regional centre of excellence and advance equitable access to sexual and reproductive health care to the community.
You will work collaboratively across the organisation helping to build sector capacity, support our people, and strengthen service delivery. Location: Canberra, Australia Reports to: Deputy Executive Director
Hours: 0.7 FTE (negotiable), including clinical time About SHFPACT: For 50 years SHFPACT has provided clinical and education services in Canberra and the region to improve sexual and reproductive health outcomes in our community.

The Medical Director provides clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team of medical, nursing, counselling, reception and administrative staff, ensuring patient-centred, high quality and safe sexual and reproductive health services. Clinical governance & risk: Lead clinical governance, oversee clinical risk management, and maintain compliance with legislation, regulations, and external accreditation standards. Service delivery: Provide direct clinical services (minimum one session per week), support other clinicians with medical management advice, and contribute to outreach clinical and education services.
