Employment Lawyer – Full‐time or Part‐time

Justitia is seeking a legal practitioner at the level of Associate or Senior Associate. Part‐time applicants are welcome to apply.

About the Firm

Justitia is an award‐winning law firm for employers focused on people and solutions. We support our clients at every stage of the employment cycle and help them create and sustain healthy workplaces where their people can thrive. Our legal and workplace consulting services are practical, forward‐looking, resolution‐focused and cost‐effective.

As demand for our services is growing, we are looking for a new colleague to join our team of friendly and talented practitioners. Justitia is recognised both in the legal industry and more broadly for our workplace culture and focus on client care. We are champions of true workplace flexibility and collaborative cultures. We genuinely believe that lawyers should not have to choose between a successful career and a fulfilling, healthy personal life.

About You

You should have 4+ years of post‐admission experience and be available to work a minimum equivalent of four days per week. We are flexible with how our staff work and we need you to be the same – sometimes we will need you to work a little more than your regular hours/days, but you'll get time off in lieu for the work that you do.

At Justitia, you will be advising employer clients in a wide range of industries, including public sector, local government and education. If you are a Senior Associate, you will also be involved in supervising and reviewing the work of your junior colleagues.

Skills and Experience Valued
* The broad gamut of workplace law
* Litigation and alternative dispute resolution
* Familiarity with advising employers across a variety of sectors
* Enterprise agreement‐making processes and disputation procedures
* Conducting investigations and workplace reviews
* Familiarity with the options for resolving conflict

* Strong technical abilities
* An ability to work in a manner consistent with Justitia's highly collaborative and collegiate workplace approach, including the servicing of all clients and matters on a shared basis
* An interest and capacity to be client‐focused and contribute to the firm's efforts in this area

Applicants should also be prepared to provide referees who can speak to their commitment to teamwork and building strong client relationships, in addition to the qualities outlined above.

If you join our team, you can expect to be mentored and supported in order to thrive.

Deadline for applications is Wednesday 28th January 2026. If you would like to discuss the requirements of this role, whether Justitia is for you, or you have any other questions, please contact Jess Toop on 03 8621 4500 or Jess.Toop@justitia.com.au.
