An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Civil or Mechanical Engineer to join our SA Water team.
What will you do :
1. Enhance and develop Aurecon’s integrated water and wastewater management design practice in SA in collaboration with Aurecon’s water team nationally and internationally.
2. Provide civil or mechanical engineering services within an integrated engineering team for clients including SA Water.
3. Lead and manage challenging water, stormwater, or wastewater projects across all lifecycle stages.
4. Support interstate and overseas projects in civil engineering, environmental engineering, and water management.
5. Engage with clients and stakeholders, support business development, and contribute to tenders for water-related projects.
6. Act as Design Lead or Manager on medium-sized projects, especially in municipal water and wastewater infrastructure.
7. Provide expertise in pump system design, hydraulics, surge analysis, and related areas.
8. Mentor junior engineers and review engineering deliverables for quality and technical standards.
9. Apply Safety in Design principles and participate in risk assessments like HAZOP.
What can you bring :
* Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or similar.
* Chartered status with Engineers Australia (CPEng) or eligible, with registration such as RPEQ, NER, or RPEV.
* Experience in civil or mechanical design and project documentation.
* Proven experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including detailed design.
* Design management experience on medium projects.
* Skills in advanced modeling, hydraulics, and surge analysis.
* Understanding of Safety in Design and risk assessment processes.
* Proactive problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
