At UGL, we are looking for a skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing detailed designs and developing specifications for HV Substations up to 500kV.

* Developing specifications and interface with management on design issues
The ideal candidate will have a degree in electrical engineering and at least 6 years of experience in primary design of HV plants. They should have a fundamental understanding of primary design and details knowledge of HV cable design, Earthing design and lightning protection.

About the Role
The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for:

* Providing conceptual and detailed design of HV Substations up to 500kV for major utilities and renewables projects
* Developing specifications and interface with management on design issues
* Plan and conduct professional engineering works
* Attend site, supplier or customer premises to ascertain or confirm project requirements
Additionally, the role requires strong knowledge of insulation coordination, EMF and lighting design, as well as proficiency in Cymcap, EMTP and CDEGS design software.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
