Compassionate Caregiver Wanted for Equine and Large Animal Veterinary Team
We are seeking a dedicated veterinary nurse to provide exceptional care for our equine, large animal, and hobby farm patients. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic hospital setting with internal medicine specialists, monitoring and treating hospitalized patients, and assisting surgeons during elective and emergency procedures.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with horses, cattle, goats, sheep, alpacas, and other livestock. A strong attention to detail is essential for accurate record-keeping and documentation. The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team is also required.
A certificate IV in Veterinary nursing or Bachelor of Veterinary Technology is highly desirable. Candidates who are working towards their certification and have relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
* Experience handling equine animals safely, including manual restraint, in-hand leading, and controlled lunging.
* Ability to work effectively in a clinical setting, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and educate others.
* Attention to detail in record-keeping and documentation.
