Primary objective
Deliver professional front office services including high level administrative support to the Principal, Business Manager, School
Operations Manager, and teaching staff in a busy and demanding school environment.

Taminmin College is a large, comprehensive, and complex Independent Public School that services the rural area of Darwin, catering

Key duties and responsibilities
1. Perform word processing, data entry, provide administrative and other tasks as directed by the principal and business manager.
2. Responsible for accurately and timely receipting of all monies coming into the school and accurate reconciliation of till, using
MYOB Retail Manager and CIA/Technology One Financial System software systems.
3. Undertake data entry and retrieval of school data systems to ensure accurate maintenance of all manual and computerised
student records such as Student Administration Management System and Compass, ensuring the integrity and currency of these
databases.
1. Deliver professional front office reception and administrative activities including answering calls, greeting, and signing in school
visitors, receipting in, and issuing out confiscated phones, delivering urgent messages to students.
1. Provide first aid to students and staff as required.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Sound written and oral communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively with people from
diverse cultures and work well with a wide range of people with tact and discretion, with the ability to diffuse difficult and
complex situations.
1. Ability to manage cash including, daily till reconciliation, and prepare monies for banking as required in an accurate and timely
manner.
1. Demonstrated computer literacy skills including experience with various office applications and databases such as Student
Administration Management System (SAMS), Compass and Retail Manager.
1. Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to adhere to critical deadlines in a high paced environment of
continuous change.
1. The ability to work in a team and maintain integrity and confidentiality.
2. Senior First Aid Certificate
Desirable
1. Experience working within a senior school environment, ability to use Retail Manager and Compass
