Key Responsibilities
1. Planning and Strategy
Develop and own the SIT Test Strategy, Test Plan, and Entry/Exit Criteria.Define the scope, objectives, and approach for integration testing.Estimate SIT effort, resource requirements, and timelines.Ensure alignment of SIT activities with the overall project delivery roadmap.
2. Test Management
Manage the end-to-end execution of SIT, including test design, test execution, defect triage, and reporting.Oversee the creation and review of integration test cases, test data, and test scripts.Coordinate integration test environments, ensuring proper configuration, data setup, and interface connectivity.Drive test automation initiatives where applicable.
3. Stakeholder Coordination
Work closely with development teams, business analysts, solution architects, and third-party vendors to ensure test readiness.Collaborate with UAT teams to ensure smooth transition and handover post-SIT.Communicate test progress, risks, and issues to project leadership and stakeholders through status reports and dashboards.
4. Defect and Risk Management
Lead defect triage meetings, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.Track and manage test defects using tools such as JIRA, ALM, or Azure DevOps.Identify potential risks in integration and develop mitigation strategies.
5. Governance and Quality
Ensure adherence to testing standards, processes, and best practices.Maintain traceability between test cases and requirements.Drive continuous improvement across SIT processes and tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.8–12 years of experience in software testing, with 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role focused on SIT.Strong knowledge of integration testing methodologies, test lifecycle management, and defect management.Hands-on experience with testing tools such as HP ALM, JIRA, Azure DevOps, Postman, or SoapUI.Experience in API testing, interface validation, and end-to-end business process testing.Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery models.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
