The Opportunity
Lead the future of paramedicine education at UniSC! As the academic leader for the Bachelor of Paramedicine program, you will drive course design, delivery, and evaluation, mentor staff, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will integrate research into teaching, foster innovation, support work-integrated learning, and build industry and community partnerships to prepare graduates for impactful healthcare roles. Help shape the next generation of paramedicine professionals.
You will:
* Shape innovative paramedicine education through curriculum design, teaching leadership, and mentoring, with recognition for excellence in learning and teaching;
* Deliver impactful research, secure grants, publish widely, and mentor future researchers to drive healthcare solutions;
* Contribute to governance, strategy, and initiatives to enhance the School and University; and
* Build partnerships, collaborate on projects, and create opportunities benefiting students and society.
About you
You are passionate about shaping paramedicine education, bringing innovation and real-world impact. You excel at creating engaging learning experiences, staying current in your field, and integrating research into teaching. You are eager to publish impactful findings and mentor future healthcare leaders. You foster strong industry and community partnerships, creating opportunities for students and society. As a team player, you support an inclusive university culture, lead by example, and aim to make a difference.
You will possess:
* A doctoral qualification in a relevant field or equivalent accreditation;
* Proven effectiveness in teaching, curriculum development, and contribution to higher education;
* A strong research record aligned with the position level;
* Leadership qualities that promote a positive academic environment and high engagement;
* Experience in academic administration, such as program coordination;
* Membership and connections with relevant professional bodies and community groups;
* Active participation in academic development and a commitment to ongoing learning;
* Postgraduate qualifications in higher education;
* Recognition for excellence in teaching and/or research.
