Job Overview
This role is pivotal in driving business synergies and sustainability initiatives across our organization. As a senior leader, you will oversee three teams responsible for educating the community on resource recovery, managing council facilities cleaning, and public domain maintenance.
The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with expertise in waste management strategies, policies, and business plans. You will lead a growing team of passionate individuals who thrive on improving services, educating the community, and ensuring a cleaner and better future.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure Council meets obligations under relevant legislation and standards related to waste management.
* Develop and implement effective community education programs on waste avoidance and increased resource recovery.
* Liaise with key stakeholders to achieve regional collaboration on delivery of waste management services.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
We are seeking an individual with:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive job-related experience in waste management.
* Demonstrated expertise in waste industry policy and government regulations.
* Strong leadership and management skills to direct a multi-disciplinary team.
