ATOM Modular is a family-owned manufacturing company based in Gisborne, Victoria, delivering high-quality modular building solutions for mining, construction, and commercial clients. Known for precision, speed, and craftsmanship, ATOM continues to expand its operational and financial capabilities as the business grows.

RAPTA Equipment is an Australian family-owned manufacturer focused on improving site safety, efficiency, and functionality. With over 15 years of construction industry experience, RAPTA designs and produces innovative site-establishment products through a combination of in-house engineering, local manufacturing, and global partnerships.

RhinoSite is a project-based service provider specialising in delivering fully functional construction site compounds in a single day. They supply all site buildings, complete fit-outs, connect essential services, manage consumables, and maintain sites throughout the projectallowing project teams to focus on core delivery rather than site setup.

The CFO will oversee financial operations across three entities within this group : two manufacturing companies and one project-based company.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and manage the financial operations across ATOM Modular and its two related entities. This role requires a strategic and hands‑on finance leader with strong experience in manufacturing, WIP (Work in Progress), project accounting, job costing, and revenue recognition.

The CFO will manage a team of three accountantsone for each entity while implementing financial controls, auditing processes, reporting systems, and multi‑entity financial models. The ideal candidate has strong Australian accounting experience, excellent analytical abilities, and proven leadership within growing, fast‑paced environments. This is a full‑time remote role aligned with the Australian timezone (AEST / AEDT).

Key Responsibilities

Provide financial leadership and strategic guidance across three entities : two manufacturers and one project‑based company.

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of three accountants, ensuring accuracy and alignment across all financial functions.

Oversee end‑to‑end financial accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and reporting cycles.

Manage and refine WIP reporting, job costing, and project accounting processes to ensure correct expense and revenue alignment.

Build and maintain three‑way financial models (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards, BAS / GST requirements, and tax regulations.

Implement and uphold strong internal controls, auditing frameworks, and financial governance.

Collaborate with operational, manufacturing, and project teams to support cost control, inventory accounting, and margin optimisation.

Conduct financial risk assessments, scenario modeling, and strategic financial analysis for executive decision‑making.

Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.

Drive improvements in reporting accuracy, financial systems, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

710+ years of senior finance experience, including as a Financial Controller or CFO.

Extensive background in manufacturing finance, including cost accounting, inventory valuation, and BOM costing.

Strong expertise in WIP, job costing, and project‑based revenue recognition.

Experience managing multi‑entity finance operations.

Proven leadership experience managing and developing accounting teams.

Advanced capability in building and maintaining three‑way financial models.

Deep understanding of Australian accounting standards, tax compliance, BAS / GST, and statutory reporting.

Robust analytical, organisational, and communication skills.

Proficiency with cloud accounting systems (e.g., Xero) and advanced financial modelling tools.

High accuracy, reliability, and ability to operate under fast‑paced, multi‑deadline environments.
