Job Summary:
This role is responsible for overseeing the preconstruction process, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Main Responsibilities:
* Analyze project drawings, specifications, and RFPs to prepare accurate estimates of time, cost, and labor.
* Evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes to confirm scope and negotiate favorable terms.
* Develop preliminary construction schedules for estimating and preconstruction purposes.
* Create conceptual estimates and budgets for projects, taking into account various factors including materials, labor, and equipment.
* Build relationships with subcontractors and vendors to solicit bids and ensure smooth project execution.
* Participate in interview processes as required.
* Foster open communication with stakeholders, including owners, architects, engineers, and project teams.
Requirements:
* Prior experience in commercial construction precon/estimating.
* In-depth knowledge of the local construction market, specifically in the Charlotte, NC area.
* Familiarity with all aspects of Contract Administration.
