Jacobs is seeking a Senior Urban Designer to join our Placemaking ANZ team in Sydney. This pivotal role is designed to drive growth in the NSW market, secure new opportunities, and deliver innovative urban design solutions for critical infrastructure and public spaces. You'll play a key role in strengthening our local presence and supporting the development of sustainable, livable cities.
Responsibilities
* Lead urban design strategies and placemaking solutions for major projects across ANZ.
* Drive business development, leveraging client relationships to secure new work and generate opportunities for the Connected Cities team, facilitating 'pull-through' work for the broader Jacobs business.
* Prepare proposals, deliver design documentation, and provide innovative solutions.
* Support the Technical Director and Technical Lead in Placemaking to promote our urban design offering through relevant forums and industry engagement.
* Mentor junior team members and share best practices across the business.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage directly with clients.
Qualifications
* Strong experience in urban design, ideally within a consulting environment.
* A strategic and innovative mindset combining technical expertise and business development.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, and design tools such as Adobe Suite and BlueBeam.
* Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across teams and regions.
