One of Australia's most unique yet most crucial research organisations is looking to add a Linux Engineer to their team. This role will focus on both IT and OT.
Responsibilities
* Managing and administering Linux systems
* Build and configure bespoke Linux Systems
* Day to day support of the Linux environment
* Mentoring staff members
* Managing OT devices (SCADA / EPICS)
* Python and BASH scripting
* Monitoring and improving system operations
To be considered for this role you must hold Australian Citizenship along with the ability (or already have) NV1 Security clearance. Aside from this we are looking for:
Qualifications
* 5 + years in Linux engineering roles
* RHEL or Debian expertise
* Strong Linux configuration skills
* Scripting expertise (Python / BASH)
* Experience in Windows and Linux mixed environments
Preferred Experience
* SCADA or EPICS experience
* Moxa Serial Connectors
* Strong networking background
On offer to the successful candidate is a long term contract role of 12 months with rates based on your skills and experience.
