Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Medical Director to lead our regional GP service in the West Arnhem region of the NT. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality primary healthcare services to rural and remote communities.
Main Responsibilities
* Oversee comprehensive primary health care service delivery and lead a dynamic team of healthcare professionals.
* Develop and implement effective systems for clinical care delivery and workforce management.
* Provide expert medical advice and establish linkages with other health providers for optimum care coordination.
* Lead clinical quality, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
* Manage and support the professional development of clinical staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
* Enhance service access and income through strategic planning and optimization of Medicare billings and referral pathways.
* Maintain professional development and compliance with vocational registration requirements, ensuring that our team remains up-to-date with the latest clinical best practices.
Requirements
* AHPRA Registered Medical Practitioner with a strong background in leadership and coordination.
* RACGP or FACRRM qualification is essential.
* Demonstrated experience in providing clinical services across remote areas within the West Arnhem region.
* Understanding of continuous quality improvement principles and their application in a primary healthcare setting.

* Ability to travel to remote areas by road and light aircraft, with a valid driver's license and current aviation medical certificate.
