SLS Cranes (Specialised Lifting Service) is a leading Western Australian-owned business with 45+ years of experience in the manufacture, service, and repair of overhead cranes. We also supply Lifting & Rigging Equipment and provide site inspections across Australia. We are currently seeking a skilled Crane Electrician to join our team. This role involves the inspection, maintenance, and repair of overhead cranes and hoists to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical expertise, a focus on safety, and the ability to work under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of cranes and hoists for optimal performance.
Service, repair, and maintenance of cranes and hoists, including breakdowns, call-outs, and fault-finding.
Install, fit, and test new components to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Electrical Installations & Testing
Review blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications to plan and execute electrical installations and upgrades.
Install, connect, and test electrical components, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
Use diagnostic tools to trace faults, test electrical circuits, and ensure safe, effective operation.
Repair or replace defective wiring and components to restore electrical systems to full functionality.
Ensure safe electrical connections to the power supply, testing circuit continuity and compliance with safety standards.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and report any safety concerns.
Maintain a focus on safe working practices at all times.
Documentation & Reporting
Accurately complete maintenance logs and job reports, documenting all repairs, parts replaced, and work performed.
Provide excellent customer service, communicate professionally with clients, and collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Flexibility
Willing to travel to job sites and work overtime as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
WA 'A' Grade Electrical Trade Licence (Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician - UEE*****)
Current WA Driver's Licence (C Class)
High Risk Licence – WP
Working at Heights Certificate
Construction induction card (Blue/White card)
Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and schematics
Ability to interpret safety protocols, procedures, and policies
